Grapes from our “Proprietor’s Grand Reserve” Chardonnay are sourced from Napa Valley’s best microclimates. The grapes are hand-picked at night or in the early hours of the morning, when the fruit is coolest. Fermentation can then begin with very little, if any, cooling. Our Chardonnay is light straw in color with a glint of gold. Its aromas are reminiscent of luscious tropical fruits that evolve into pear and melon on the palate. These impressions are repeated to the senses with a very slight buttery finish and a subtle hint of French oak in the background. It has excellent depth with an ideal balance of fruit and crisp acidity that leads into a fresh, silky finish.
